Harvard Avenue Christian Church

The Christian Church – Our name shows that we have a common bond with the church universal.
Disciples of Christ – Identifies members as a distinctive body within the church universal.
St. Andrew’s Cross is the symbol for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The chalice highlights
the importance of communion for our church. St. Andrew’s cross is a cross tilted as if it is being
carried. This reminds us of Jesus’ command that each of us is to:
“Take up His cross and follow me.”
Mission Statement
 The mission of Harvard Avenue Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is to
honor and glorify God and strive to create a loving and growing community
which proclaims Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, challenges people to live
in commitment to Him, nurtures them in Christian faith and actively reaches
out to those in need.

Well the church is embracing technology. We have now officially become a Facebook
group. Facebook is a social networking group, and a great way to connect with friends,
both old and new. To create an account go to www.facebook.com and fill out the
required information in the “Sign up for Facebook” box. You can then add as much or
as little info as you would like. I suggest not putting info like your phone # or address.
After you create an account search under groups for Harvard Avenue Christian Church
and join us. If this doesn’t make sense to you or you would like some more help give
