WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO VISIT US ON SUNDAY MORNINGS AT 9:30 A.M. FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL AND 10:45 A.M. FOR CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP (PEAKE HALL) OR TRADITIONAL WORSHIP (SANCTUARY). BOTH WORSHIP STYLES HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL TO OFFER OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS. WE INVITE YOU TO TRY OUT EACH OF THESE STYLES AS OFTEN AS YOU LIKE. COMMUNION IS SERVED EACH SUNDAY IN BOTH SERVICES. |
Our Contemporary Worship service is held in our fellowship hall at 10:45 a.m. with exciting contemporary Christian music led by our Praise and Worship Band and Singers. No need to hold a hymn or song book in this upbeat service because the words to the songs are provided on a bold power point presentation. Our pastors, Dr. Don Farrior and Rev. Rebecca Highfield alternate Sundays between contemporary and traditional to give the morning message. Kent Carver is the worship leader in this service. |
Our Traditional Worship service is also at 10:45 a.m. and takes place in the Sanctuary. This service is filled with beautiful choir anthems, traditional hymns from the Chalice Hymnal, special music by various singing and instrumental ensembles. Choir Director Brad Burnham and Music Director Susie Monger-Daugherty plan the music for this service each Sunday and the morning message is delivered by either Dr. Don Farrior or Rev. Rebecca Highfield. |
ONCE A MONTH HARVARD AVENUE CHRISTIAN CHURCH HOLDS A COMBINED SERVICE, EITHER IN THE SANCTUARY OR IN PEAKE HALL SO THAT OUR FAITH FAMILY CAN COME TOGETHER AND CELEBRATE WORSHIP TOGETHER -- THESE COMBINED SERVICES ARE AT 10:45 A.M. AND ARE OFTEN FOLLOWED BY ALL CHURCH FELLOWSHIP DINNERS. |
