Our Board Officers are elected by the congregation and their function is to work with our staff in carrying out the minisry of Christ here at Harvard Avenue. The HACC Board consists of the elected Elders, Deacons, and Department and Committee Chairs. |

The Elders at Harvard Avenue Christian Church are divided into three categories: Circle Elders (for discernment and direction); Serving Elders (for communion and offertory duties in the worship service); and Shepherding Elders (for the care of our members, lifting them up in prayer and visitation to our homebound and hospitalized). The Elders also serve on the HACC Board. |

Our Deacons serve in the worship services, providing order and direction on Sunday mornings. They prepare and serve communion, direct people, take up the collections, take attendance and are part of the governing body of the church. Deacons play a significant role in the life of Harvard Avenue. |
